Amazing view and sunsets!!
This is a wonderful location - ocean view from your bed in the morning, from the breakfast table and just walking through the great room. The Westerlies blowing through the house provide a pleasant atmosphere through the day with the tropical breeze and tropical fans! A large covered patio gives protection from the sun and allows the breeze to help keep you comfortably cool.
Sadly, there is no swimming pool; gladly, there is an outdoor shower. Rinse off that sand, sticky lotion and salt water outside after you arrive back from one of the 3 beaches nearby - something for everyone! Not to mention the kite-surfing possibilities a little further North along the coast. Fun to watch, also.
Each bedroom has an air conditioner, an overhead fan and adjoining bathroom. A vintage Caribbean stay with all the pleasantries of home.

Summary: My sister, her partner and I had a absolutely glorious week at Martha's Place in Sint Nicolaas. The area was even more wonderful than we had originally imagined because of the quiet nature of her neighborhood and the proximity to two local beaches. The check-in process was excellent as Martha was very flexible on when we arrived and made sure that we knew all the ins and outs of the property once we made it there. The home was very clean and neat and comfortable and could be controlled with temperature even during hot days very very well. The seating area outside undercover was fantastic for late night book reading and chatting over a glass of wine. We had access to a washing machine and were able to hang all our clothes to dry as we needed it during the week. Martha provided other things such as beach chairs and towels which was very handy. The location was a little bit under sold because the proximity to the beach was literally a five minute walk down the hill and you could take a choice of either Baby Beach which was a much busier venue or Rodgers Beach where there was literally nobody. In comparison to the rest of the island we felt that this was by far the most favorable for us because of it's quiet and comfortable residential environment yet close to the beaches. This was our first time in Aruba and there's obviously some people that enjoyed the resort areas that are further up to the northern part of the island and that's not what we are looking for.
